Bingin Surfing

Bingin is the next reef south of Balangan Bali Surfing, for the most part it's always been pretty easy to find. Traveling from the Kuta area your on a good sealed road, but be warned the last 500 mtrs of unsealed road is bad, very bad. The reef is close to shore and only a short paddle out.

Additional Surfing Infos

Bingin is a fun short tube. Don't surf the inside (only if you want to walk on the reef ..). The wave is best at mid to low tide.

This place gets super crowded (as with most, but not all places in Bali)
It needs a semi decent swell- Ulus needs to be getting towards 6 foot for Bingin to be 2-3 foot.
On a decent 3-4foot day at Bingin you can count your self lucky if there are less than 20 people out. There will more likely be 25+.
Then there are the locals............
I've heard guys saying that the worst thing anyone ever did was give the Balinese local boys surfboards. You'll need to make your own mind up on this one, but its fair to say that when there are 5 or 6 of them out there, you can pretty much kiss good bye to any one the set waves.

ts a short fun, guaranteed barrel. Its also dangerous for the inexperienced surfer.
You should not paddle out here unless you are good with crowds, dont mind being dropped in on, dont mind bouncing off the reef and most importantly, dont mind being surrounded by 30 guys in an area the size of a half a tennis court!
